What are fibroids? Uterine fibroids (also known as fibromyomas, leimyomas or myomas) are growths made of smooth muscle cells that appear in the uterus during childbearing years. The growths are not malignant nor are they related to cancer, but they are classified as tumors. They are extremely common and often go unnoticed by many women and often shrink after menopause. Uterine fibroids occur more frequently in black women but are almost never seen in a woman less than 20 years old.

There are different types of uterine fibroids that are classified by location. These include: submucous fibroids, which develop in the uterine cavity; intramural fibroids, which grow on the uterine wall; and subserous fibroids which are found outside the uterus. Some fibroids grow so large that they may be classified into more than one category.

Uterine fibroids can sometimes be harmful to women, causing problems that range from pain and bleeding to miscarriages and infertility. The most common symptom is heavy uterine bleeding that occurs during the menstrual period.

Of course, alternative therapists like myself are aware of the impact that environmental toxins have on fibroids. Some toxins can mimic the effect of estrogen in the body, and cause fibroids to grow rapidly, even in women who are no longer menstruating. This can be a very frustrating diagnosis for post menopausal women.

A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus, and is believed to be a permanent solution to fibroids. Unfortunately, a hysterectomy is a major surgical procedure, which can have devastating effects on your long-term health, so it’s not to be taken lightly. and surgery, which is a risky option, as in rare occasions, surgery can damage the uterus or other nearby organs. There are rarer cases of fibroids growing in the uterine cavity after a hysterectomy.

Fortunately here are a variety of different therapies that women can choose from, depending on the symptoms and the severity of the fibroids. Herbal supplements, such as FibroidClear can reduce inflammation as well as shrinking fibroids and regulating hormone levels. There’s body cleansing, which helps to get rid of the toxins that cause fibroids to grow, and accelerate the effect of any herbal remedies for fibroids.

A very large number of people are afflicted with a condition called Rosacea. Rosacea is a disorder that largely manifests itself on the face, however it also can appear on the ears, scalp, neck, and chest. The disorder known as Rosacea has been known to flare-up and then goes into remission. When symptoms are at an early stage is when Rosacea treatment works most effectively.

Facial redness is the most prevalent of the symptoms that are associated with Rosacea. Rosacea sufferers include women and men. It is most widely diagnosed in women but men are stricken with the most severe symptoms. At the first appearance of Rosacea symptoms, women are most likely to see a doctor and get treatment. Unfortunately, men procrastinate until the symptoms are severe before they seek treatment.

There are four subtypes of Rosacea. Eye irritation, facial redness, skin thickening, and bumps and pimples are the four subtypes. Bumps and pimples, flushing of the skin, continual redness, and visible blood vessels are the Rosacea symptoms that are most well known. The connection to Rosacea is unknown and there have been no tests developed to identity this disorder and there is no known cure.

Oral medications and topical medications are used by doctors to treat Rosacea. Doctors also recommend a skin care plan along with prescribed medicines. Doctors further encourage Rosacea sufferers to make changes to their lifestyles so that they remain in remission.

Metrogel is a topical antibiotic that is commonly used to treat Rosacea. Metrogel reduces the amount of swelling and redness of the face and also lessens pimples. Tetracycline and Erythromycin are commonly used oral antibiotics used to treat Rosacea. Both medications are widely prescribed because they suppress symptoms of Rosacea and lessen the amount of bumps and pimples.

Doctors encourage those that suffer from Rosacea to have a routine that is gentle for the skin. Mild non-abrasive cleaners are recommended for facial cleansing. Sunlight increases the risk of a flare-up so Doctors encourage Rosacea sufferers to take precautions when going out into the sun. Doctors prescribe the application of daily sunscreen.

A change in lifestyle must be considered by those who suffer from Rosacea. Rosacea sufferers need to examine their daily habits and make adjustments as needed. The amount of stress, types of food, types of beverages, and skin products should be carefully reviewed. Although a cure has not been discovered, Rosacea treatment can reduce symptoms and help to live a life that is normal.

Rosacea treatment is a necessary part of life long care for individuals suffering from this skin condition. Read up atthe Rosacea Treatment Guide to learn more about rosacea treatments like OTC medications, IPL laser treatment, and PDL laser treatment for rosacea.
